Where We Began
Our founder, Ricardo Souza, found his way into the plumbing industry with determination and adaptability. Originally from Brazil, he transitioned from a successful career in the audio/video industry to plumbing in the early 2000s. With no prior construction experience, he relied on Plumbers 911, a marketing service connecting union contractors with clients, to get started. Ricardo’s commitment to quality work quickly earned him repeat clients and referrals, laying the foundation for what would become a thriving business.
Now, with over 20 years of experience and a Master Plumber’s License, Ricardo is proud to lead EFR, a Minority Business Enterprise that employs over 100 union plumbers. The company has grown into a full-service plumbing and heating contractor with dedicated team, a pre-fabrication shop, and a strong portfolio of ongoing projects. Ricardo’s philosophy is simple: “There are no secrets to success - it’s the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.
